there is paint everywhere!

header

About a week ago I ordered from the e.l.f. website for the very first time. And part of that order consisted of this 100 eyeshadow palette which retailed for only €12,00. An absolute bargain! I saw that it held quite an arrangement of bright colors, which are the kind of make-up that I don't already own. And for twelve euros I was more than willing to try it out.

Two overview photos of the pallete. First one is taken with flash and the other in natural light. As you can see the palette is squared off into 100 sections with black plastic separating the colors from each other. I like the packaging, it's sturdy and simple. It doesn't need much more.

The palette has a nice balance between neutral and bright shades and a wide arrangement of different finishes. Ranging from matte to metallic.

As you can see there is a great difference between the colors, whilst there are quite a few that are amazingly pigmented and have terrific finishes. There are also a few that hardly show up or just look plain bad. In particular the matte ones. The metallic finishes are my favorite. There are so many great purples, blues and greens in this palette. This is exactly why I bought this palette, to expand my range of bright eyeshadows.

I'm really happy with my purchase and I am pretty sure that I'll be using these on a number of looks. I already used three of them in my New Year's Eve make-up tutorial from last night so make sure you check that out.

I recommend this palette if you are looking for a budgetproof way to expand your bright eyeshadow collection and I would leave this one if you are looking for an easy way to start your collection of neutral shades. You are better of spending a bit more on neutral products that you will get to use on a daily basis.
