Caudalie Beauty Elixir

The little spray bottle pictured up top is supposed to be a wonderous thing inspired by Queen Isabelle of Hungary's elixir of youth. Now that is a promise I hope it's dying to keep. Infused with ingredients like grape,  orange blossom, rose, organic balm mint and rosemary it promises to smooth features, tighten pores and give the complexion a burst of radiance. But does it deliver? I'll tell you.

Honestly, the idea of a spray on toner scared me a little. I envisioned myself holding it in front of my face spraying and getting it in my eye, followed by me hopping around the bathroom trying to get it out. Paints a pretty picture, doesn't it? But nothing like this happened, thankfully. It has a really good dispersion radius and delivers a perfect fine mist to the skin.

The scent is quite strong and might take some getting used to, although I liked it from the beginning. It's really refreshing and herbal.

I spray this onto my face after cleansing in the morning and at any given time during the day to give my skin a pick me up. If I am having an oily skin day and I require powder to mattify I spray a little bit of the elixir to add radiance to an otherwise cakey face.

If I believe it is a wonderful thing that is a skin savior and everyone needs to go and buy gallons of it? No. There are plenty of other toners that do the same thing. However, if you're looking for a hydrating mist for during the day please go for this. Do not pick the evian mist, that stuff is like sandpaper to the face. Not a good thing.

I'm almost through my first 30ml bottle and will be repurchasing, because I enjoy the fresh feeling after spraying it on my face. That and I generally like annoying people who don't appreciate its scent.
