Essence Nail Art Nail Colour 3 REVIEW AND POLISH GIVEAWAY! [CLOSED]

Not too long ago Essence (one of my favorite nailpolish brands) came out with a new product. Their Nail Colour 3 'sticks'. It's a double ended nail polish with one solid color polish and an end with a special effect top coat. I picked up the first one of the set, which is 01 Midnight Date. See what I think about these polishes below!

Midnight Date, the solid polish of the set is a pretty navy blue with blue shimmer. Nothing too spectacular, but I think it's nice. It kind of reminds me of OPI's Russian Navy, but that one is a little darker.

The real beauty of this set is the special effect top coat. City that never sleeps is a blue based flaky top coat with blue and green flakes. It's absolutely gorgeous, isn't it? What a stunner.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE GOT OURSELVES A ONE COATER! Okay, all jokes aside. This is something that almost never happens with budget polishes. The polish itself is a little on the thin side, which makes the pigmentation even better. It does apply quite nicely, the brush was very easy to handle.

Out of habit I applied two coats. And that's how it looks with two, haha.

And now for the combo... Boy, are flakies hard to photograph. These are the times where I really wished that I had a professional camera. My Canon Powershot SX1ooIS just doesn't cut it sometimes.

And becaus a base coat, two coats of solid color, a flaky top coat wasn't enough, I added another coat. And a matte one at that. Don't you just adore this look? I love it like this!

Because I love the top coat so much, I wanted to see what it looked like combined with other base polishes...
