Trust me, I don't wear faux fur this often. It just so happens to be that the two times me and Mike shot outfit pictures I was wearing a faux fur item. This grey jacket has been hanging in my closet since October but I hadn't worn it out until now. Because this jacket is such a statement on its own, I like keeping everything else relatively simple.

I picked up this amazing shirt from Mango in the sale and I can think of so many ways to wear it. I'm sure you'll be seeing this on here more than a few times. The riding pants from Zara were also from the sale. I own a couple of this style but the subtle leather lining down the side of the leg are what sold me on this particular pair.

The first outfit of the new year, and also the first outfit shot with my new lens, and I love the effect this gives to my photograps. Mike made it clear that he likes helping me with these kind of posts so I hope that during this year we can start adding a lot more fashion to my blog.

I'm wearing one of my go to outfits. All black is just incredibly easy to move around in and you never really look out of place. The faux fur gilet is just a little extra thing to add an injection of chic. The heels I am wearing are my current favorite pair. It closes up a little higher on the foot, which actually makes them much easier to walk in.

I finally convinced my boyfriend that it is a good idea to help me take outfit photos. He is still getting used to handling the camera and this time around there are a lot of slightly fuzzy outtakes. During the shooting he was actually started enjoying it and said we should go somewhere with nicer backgrounds soon for more outfit shoots. Golly, I love that man. I myself still find it pretty uncomfortable to look natural in front of the camera. The poses look a little too posed and I don't know how best to show off the clothing. I am learning, and I am sure I will improve over time.

As for wardrobe I can't believe this is the first time I am wearing this coat. I got it in Zara's sale and only paid a fraction of the original price. The color is divine and I really love what it does to my eyes and hair. These trousers from Zara are so unbelievably comfortable, I could live in them. The necklace is such a showstopper, I should really wear it more often. My knee is still quite painful, so these pointy heels are definitely 'sitting shoes', but they do work best for this kind of look. A simple white shirt is what works best on most occasions, and I don't think I can survive without my basic white pieces.

Temperatures are dropping, fall is setting in and my predominantly black and white wardrobe is back in full swing. At the moment I find myself drawn to bulky blazers with gorgeous textures. This over-sized boyfriend blazer is nice and toasty but the fabric makes it an interesting enough piece to carry an outfit. The boots are totally suited for the cutout trend that seems to be everywhere at the moment, but the thick low heel still make them comfortable enough for everyday wear. I also realized I haven't painted my toes since I went on holiday and they are looking dreadful at the moment.

A black and white base is what you can see me wearing often, for I feel most comfortable and chic in this color combination. It's a combination that always works. I'm experimenting with different cuts and fits and I hope I can give you more insight in my fashion on this blog. This is, after all, a beauty and fashion blog.

Outfit: The Uniform

Two outfits in one week, I'm on a roll. I pretty much slapped myself in the face and yelled that this blog was supposed to be fashion and beauty. And that a much needed balance needed to be found within the two. So with my new camera I have pretty much lured my mom into helping me shoot some photos for today's outfit post. I still have to work with the fine controls of this camera. I know I can get some great images out of this black machine but I am still stuck shooting on auto because I have no idea how to set all of the different things on it.

But let's get back to the business at hand. The outit I am wearing. I have named this outfit 'the uniform', but it can be found on my body pretty much all the time. Black jeans, a jacket in either black, grey or white, a simple basic t-shirt and a statement purse. Given, I'm a bit of a cheat with the heels. I'm usually wearing ballerinas or sneakers. But I couldn't give up the chance to wear my new beauties out. Even though they kind of squish my foot, damn you duck feet.

The clutch was a bargain from Primark. I originally got it to carry around my iPad but I often just use it as a clutch on a night out. I went a little black blazer crazy in the Zara sale this year. I think I bought four. Four?! Yes, four. I hang my head in shame while I strut the streets in my gorgeous blazers.

I've asked Mike to help me with pictures for the blog soon. So there probably will be much more outfit posts on the blog!

Outfit: Gray Maxi Skirt

It's been forever since I last shared an outfit post with you guys. Partyl due to the fact that taking outfit pictures by yourself is an incredible challenge. My boyfriend Mike has promised to help me with it, for my new camera should really be amazing in taking pictures outside. Today I accepted a challenge and built a tower out of cabinets, boxes and books to take advantage of the gorgeous light flooding through my bedroom windows.

I'm about to jump on my bike to ride into town. I'm going out to dinner with my mister. Hope he isn't too shocked by my choice of wardrobe. He hasn't seen me in a maxi skirt before. Anyway, we're having sushi so he'll be distracted by the abundance of food before he even registers my clothing..

Outfit of the Day: Balance

5

Hey guys!

I did another shoot with my friend Tessa at the end of March. It was super fun to do but the weather was HORRIBLE that day. It was dark and grey, the wind was really cold and after an hour or so we were both freeeeeeezing our asses off.

Nevertheless, I'm really pleased with the pictures. I love the way my makeup makes my eyes look. The outfit is one of my go to looks. Black jeans, a t-shirt, some kind of jacket and my favorite coat.

Beetlejuice goes minty

I wore this outfit the other day, when I went for drinks with some friends and visited my boyfriend later in the evening. I absolutely love it! The mint blazer fits me like a glove and the color is divine. Just the right tone of mint. And the pants! Oh the pants, they steal the show. I love how they make my legs look more slim. And they are such a great focal point.

I think this is one of the outfits I'm going to wear for my next photoshoot with my friend Tessa, so it might make another appearance on here. But then shot by the lovely Tessa, who can make everything look beautiful through her lens.

Outfit of the day: floral blouse

Oh boy am I in love with this blouse. The print is gorgeous, vibrant and oh so perfect for spring. I imagine getting tons of wear out of this little number. Sadly, it's H&M, so about 80% of the girls in this country are going to own the same blouse. But I style it in my own way!

All H&M, except for the shoes, which are Primark.

The third and final batch of pictures from the amazing shoot I did with Tessa Zeilmaker. Like I said before, she was working on her own website and I am pleased to announce that it has gone live. You can visit and tell her how much of an amazing photographer she is HERE HERE HERE!

I adore this dress, and to think that it was only €10! I think it looks really sweet, which is why I styled with my favorite jacket, a nice studded belt and my knockoff lita's. I can't possibly explain how much I love these shoes. They instantly transform any outfit into a nice edgy look. So maj!

outfit of the day: CALL ME MISTER MISTER

I had the privilege of shooting with a really nice friend, I'm really glad she is in my life again. A great addition! We went out into the neighborhood and took some really nice photographs of me, and I am overjoyed with them. Today I am posting the first few photos from the two outfits. I hope you like them, but it doesn't really matter because I LOVE them anyway. Thanks so much, Tessa!
