Inglot AMC Cream Blush review

INGLOTamccbheader
Inglot AMC Cream Blush in 80

"Don't take me to the back of this store," I said to my friend Mitchel as we walked into a department store a few days ago. "That's where they keep the magic." Of course, I am like a moth to a flame, a shopaholic to a sale, a magnet to... another magnet, and found myself drooling over the colorful Inglot counter before I even realised what was going on. Inglot is a Polish brand with so many amazing things. I am particularly fond of their freedom system eyeshadows for they are very good value for the amount of product that you get, and the pigmentation and staying power is also phenomenal.

I'm on a bit of a blush binge lately. I am obsessed with finding lovely blushes that make me look fresh and awake. I'm kind of keeping the dark eyeliner and bright lips at bay and going for a more natural professional look. Boy, am I getting old or what? Back to what I was talking about. Blushes. Particularly cream blushes are floating my boat. Cream blushes look a little more natural and are easier to wear, in my opinion. I also know some people that cannot get on with cream blush at all, so I guess it's a personal thing.

Inglot has a stunning range of shades in their cream blush collection. And I found it very, very, very hard not to go and buy way too many of them. Instead I settled for a soft pink color that goes perfectly with my pale skin.

The pot isn't too deep, which makes it pretty easy to get your fingers or brush into it to get the right amount of product. The sample in the store had been lying open for sometime, because it felt rather dry and difficult to blend. But the product that I ended up buying and using at home was the complete opposite. It's creamy and silky and easily transfers from your fingers onto your cheeks. You don't need to press into the pot at all. Just lightly rubbing your fingers across the surface delivers enough pigment for one cheek.

I smile lightly and put a few small dots onto the apple of my cheek and then dot whatever is left on my fingers upwards towards my temple. I find that this creates the most natural looking flush on my cheeks. However this might vary for different face shapes and structures.

I blend with my fingers. I prefer fingers with cream blush, because the warmth of your fingers makes the product easier to blend because it gets slightly more liquid-y.

The product definitely is a cream to powder finish. It blends into your skin seamlessly and it doesn't feel like there is anything sticky laying on your cheeks. This also makes the product last forever and a day on my skin. The skin on my face is a little on the dry side this week. Probably to the abrupt changes in climate we're going through. It will look even more amazing when my skin is back to its usual self.

Long story short. The Inglot AMC cream blush in the shade 80 is amazing and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Best part? This beauty is going to last you forever and it will only cost you €14. Thank you very much Inglot, for yet another amazing product.

Inglot Fall/Winter Quad Swatches + Eye of the Day

After successfully passing most of my midterms I decided that I needed to get something for myself to celebrate, a bit like an incentive to do as much as I did this time the next round of midterms. Which are approaching so fast... eek! So I stopped by my favorite counter in the whole wide world and broke my no buy rule for november. I picked up a quad of the most amazing warm fall colors. I seriously couldn't wait to go home and play with those shades. Further down the post are the swatches and the fall makeup look that I have created.

When I got home I immediately set to work with these shadows to create a fall/winter makeup look suitable for work. Look below for my interpretation of this eyeshadow quad. I absolutely love these colors. They are so warm and gorgeous and I can't wait to do more looks with this quad.

FOTD: Glow

The Rimmel Wake Me Up is becoming better for me day after day, and now that I've been wearing it paired with strategical parts of my face highlighted with the Body Shop's Radiant Highlighter... it has gotten even better. Let's just say that in the morning... I look less than alive. And the combination of these two magical products give me lovely, glowing skin.

The viking even commented saying I looked really healthy, and he never comments on my makeup.

First, I apply a primer, but that's only when I think of it. I often realise whilst applying my foundation that I have skipped primer. I apply the Wake Me Up foundation with my elf powder brush, really buffing it into the skin. Then I take a small dab of the highlighter and apply it to my cheekbones, cupid's bow and the bridge of my nose.

INGLOT Freedom System Round Lipsticks [Review + Swatches]

header

My love for INGLOT is growing a little more everyday. Apart from their products being absolute dreams in application and duration, the girl at the nearest counter is just the most vibrant piece of humanity. She is so much fun, I can laugh with her and she informs me about the jokes going around among the department store floor staff. Sadly, Joyce was out sick when I visited yesterday. But there was another woman there who helped me perfectly. They are all just so nice.

Yesterday I added three freedom system round lipsticks to my ever growing INGLOT collection (the count is at 13 shadows, 3 lipsticks, a pigment, duraline and an amazing powder brush). And I didn't swatch them, not even in the store, until about three hours ago. And I am head over heels in love with all three of them.

INGLOT freedom system round lipsticks come in pan form, they do have some sticks, but I wanted a small palette with a number of shades I could just pop in my bag to always have an assortment of colors on hand. The lipstick palettes are available in the sizes 3,5,10 and 20. But the 3 pan palette is the only one that doesn't come in their signature magnetized packaging but in this little black matte box. It's perfect and light, yet it feels sturdy in your palm. It comes with a mirror and a little slot for a lipbrush to be put in. Perfect for on the road and when you're travelling and want a bunch of different colors.

I got the shades 34, a gorgeous light bright pink with a creamy finish on the lips. 90, an amazing vibrant purple color with a pearl finish. The shimmer in this one is to die for, even if I don't really care for shimmer all that much. And 09, an orange based bright red that works on nearly every skintone, again a creamy finish.

The pigmentation, as per usual, is amazeballs. This was done after just one light swipe of my lipbrush. You can really see the pretty shimmer of the purple lipstick in these photos.

And now for the swatches on the lips. All the pictures were taken in natural ligt, outside in the sun. Because the sun is really being kind to the Dutch people. Let's hope we can keep its company in the upcoming weeks.

They wear beautifully, you apply them with a lip brush which makes for perfect precise application. They cover fully after two thin layers (I don't like digging my brush into the product, it's so scary). The formulas are creamy and absolutely not drying on the lips. I've worn 09 for four hours now, had a snack and a glass of water and it has not faded. Which means the staying power is pretty good. I'm testing if they are smooch proof tonight, haha.

I really enjoy this lipstick and I think I will get another palette soon. And maybe some disposable lip applicators, because toting around a lipbrush and some rubbing alcohol to clean it seems a little silly.

A palette of three INGLOT freedom system round lipsticks retails for €15, the pants contain 1.2 grams or 0.05 US OZ.

This look was made because I felt a bit guilty for paying so much money on my new INGLOT palette, and I really wanted to see the result of using these shadows on myself. So I created a quick, interesting blue and black smokey eye. And I really like the look? What about you?

Starting to build my portfolio as a freelance makeup artist. I needed, well maybe not needed, some really nice bright colors that I can work with for more out there looks. So I visited INGLOT, my bank account is still weeping, but I couldn't be happier.

closeup

I didn't get all the colors just now. The three colors in the front (purple, gold & grayish purple) were purchased a while back when INGLOT first opened in the town where I go to college. But the rainbow colors, the red and the sparkly blue and green were purchased today. Sorry, bank account.

Here are the gorgeous swatches. The pigmentation of these shadows are to die for! I cannot wait to start using them.

INGLOT is such a beautiful brand. Their shadows are so bright and vibrant and the pigmentation on most of the shadows are abso-fucking-lutely beautiful.
