Kurt Geiger aka My first designer shoes

As much as I love fashion, my student life and Zara addiction often leave me struggling to get through the month. So I don't exactly have place in my budget for designer fashion. My greatest weakness in fashion is shoes and purses and you can imagine the collective sigh going through my house when I come home from the city with a nice new box under my arm.

I satisfy my need for fashion by looking at fashion blogs. And one of the firsts I started following was Sabrina from AfterDRK. This incredible Dutch woman has an amazing sense of style and I adore the outfits that she puts together. So when I saw on Instagram that she was selling her fabulous snakeprint Kurt Geiger heels my heart skipped a beat. I've been in love with these shoes since I saw her outfit years ago.

I was on the train on the way home from uni trying to order these things on the crappy 3G internet that kept failing. And I was muttering to myself 'please don't sell, please don't sell'  while I was trying to get them in my basket. It's safe to say that I managed to get paid and I even emitted a little yell when it said 'order complete'. I think I was glowing for the rest of the train ride.

Of course, ordering shoes online is really difficult. Because there is no way of trying them on before you drop your pretty pennies, but these they came in and they fit like a glove. I am so happy with them. I can imagine getting loads of wear of these amazing shoes. They desere an honorary spot on my bedroom shelves, where I keep all my favorite shoes.

Nice and classic, with an edge because of the snake print. Just how I like it. 

The Perfect Spring Shoe

Oh H&M you did it again. You made the perfect spring shoe. Simple and understated in classic white with a perfect pop of neon orange at the top. Wear it with light colored trousers, a pair of boyfriend jeans or underneath a gorgeous flowy dress. I welcome this beautiful pair to my life and I will thorougly enjoy wearing these shoes out and about.

Did I mention that they comfortably fit my duck feet and that the strap at the top is made of elastic and fits snugly around my ankle making the shoes super easy to walk in? No. Well now I did.

New In: Sneaker Wedges

 

Isabel Marant struck gold with her sneaker/heel hybrid shoe. All around the world girls are cheering because they can look cool, tall and fashionable while maintaining something important.. comfort. Available in loads of colors and making you look infintely cool. But carrying a steep price tag of about $400 and seemingly sold out forever, the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers were way out of my league.

Luckily, major brands and shoe stores caught on to the fashion hype and started creating their own versions. To say I was less than impressed with the first round of remakes is a bit of an understatement. Most of the pairs that were put on the market were highly exagerated and just looked cheap.

But about a week ago I ran into this pair on a major shoe chain's website and fell in love. To me, these are super similar to the Isabel Marant Bekket shoe. I tried them on in the store and they fit like a glove. And the most amazing part, they are super comfortable. It's like walking on clouds.

And now for the best part. This designer shoe duplicate is, drumroll... less than thirty euros! I didn't even think twice before going to the checkout. Which caused some disappointment in the girl who was watching me like a hawk as I tried on the last pair. You snooze you lose. Que evil laughter.

So as I am writing this I am enjoying my brand spanking new super cool shoes. Excuse me while I go walk on clouds.

The flesh is weak... yet again.

Saw the babies are on a lovely fashion blog some time ago. Fell in love with them like never before. Platform, metallic, high heel, buckles... Need I say more? I realised I had never looked on the website she got the shoes from before, so I browsed the website.

Browsed the sale....

Saw the shoes I fell in love with were now 50% off and would be shipped without any costs. Needless to say, ten seconds later they were mine. I know just how to pair these. Hopefully I can shoot an outfit with them soon!
